The programme committee, headed by Petr Hlavinek and Zdenek Dufek, has put together a fascinating and comprehensive programme that reflects current issues related to municipal water management. The two-day conference is divided into five thematic sessions covering sewerage and wastewater treatment plants, water treatment, sewer networks, facilities and materials, wastewater treatment including sludge management and wastewater circular management across four countries.
During the conference, experts from across the water management spectrum from the Czech Republic and abroad will present a total of 40 papers. Topics include the current subsidy opportunities provided by the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic, experiences with the implementation of BIM in water companies PVS a.s. and PVK, a.s., as well as a contribution from our colleague Lukáš Chalupa on the application of Energy Manager in water management.
The conference will also offer space for the exchange of views among participants, while the research activities of the AdMaS Advanced Materials and Structures research centre will be presented. This modern science centre is a comprehensive research institution in the field of construction and is part of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Brno University of Technology.
We look forward to meeting experts and exchanging ideas and knowledge at the Urban Waters 2023 conference. Together, we can contribute to the development of water management within a sustainable future.
