The latest issue of the trade journal Data Security Management features an interview with our colleague Erik Feldman. His main topic was the innovative video analytics superstructures BriefCam, and Scylla for video surveillance systems, with an emphasis on their implementation at the University Hospital Ostrava.
Erik Feldman presented the practical use of these technologies in a hospital environment, including how the superstructure works within an existing camera system, setup processes tailored to the specific needs of the hospital, strategies for eliminating false alarms, and other useful tips for effective use.
He not only described the functionality and benefits of the new system, but also highlighted its revolutionary nature in the field of healthcare facility security. The integration of video analytics software from VDT Technology and its partners BriefCam, CertiCon and Scylla into the security control room has enabled the Ostrava University Hospital to build a state-of-the-art security system that has become an example in the industry.
This camera system is not just a passive observer, but an active tool for identifying and eliminating potential threats such as fires, vandalism, accidents or attacks. Its ability to immediately identify risks and its rapid response significantly reduce the risk to patients, visitors and staff, which is particularly crucial in critical situations.
