In September, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Israel’s Mobileye to establish closer cooperation in the field of autonomous mobility services in the Czech Republic for the introduction of self-driving shuttles.
A month later, on 24 October, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Jerusalem in the presence of the Czech Minister of Science, Research and Innovation, Helena Langšádlová, to work closely together on the development of an autonomous bus and its integration into the city’s traffic management, with the Faculty of Transport at the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Prague Advanced Technology and Research Innovation Centre (PATRIC) joining us.
In order to have driverless autonomous buses roaming the streets of the Czech Republic, it will be necessary to change legislation and invest in development. If all goes well, the first such bus could be in real operation in just three years.
